I teach with a focus on the person, not the instrument. This means my music lessons are dedicated to your overall musical wellbeing, rather than grading your ‘musical ability’.

I endeavour to provide a safe, gentle and supportive environment to explore the instrument you are learning and the goals you want to achieve. Lessons are online so you can stay in the comfort of your home and learn what you want, at your own pace. I am enhanced DBS checked and have experience working with a wide variety of ages and abilities.

Frequent Questions and Answers

Lessons focus on personal goals in your musical journey as well as the health and wellbeing aspects of learning a woodwind instrument.

Lessons are designed to create a safe space to learn something new, each lesson will be structured to your individual needs. Your personal goals and requirements for learning will be prioritised at all times.

There are many studies which support the idea that learning a woodwind instrument can improve wellbeing. Reasons for this range from the benefits of mindfully breathing, to the rewards of learning a new skill.

I provide music lessons for anyone over the age of 18. My services are particularly suited to those who are looking to learn a woodwind instrument, although I do teach a variety of different instruments and skills depending on what kind of tuition you are looking for. My lessons are tailored for those learning music for enjoyment, to improve health or to those who require holistic support in their learning.

But why not find out for yourself? Book a free, no commitment consultation and we can discuss if my services could be of help.

Lessons are virtual and taught via Microsoft Teams. There may be the opportunity for in-person sessions depending on your location, this can be discussed when enquiring about lessons.

I don’t specify a maximum or minimum number of lessons. I typically work in an open-ended way and will check in and review progress with you regularly. If you prefer, I am also happy to decide a set number of lessons in our first session together.
